LatestDoctors close chamber sessions on chosen dates and every booking moves to the next date with the patient told by SMS. Admins run the homepage hero and both dashboard banners as sliders, connect a YouTube channel for a Watch Our Videos section and tutorial popups, and filter doctors by district. Doctors whose names are in Bengali are found by typing the name in English and get English page addresses, patients only ever see the chamber phone, and a walk-in patient found by mobile number joins the doctor's list on the spot. The prescription editor gains advice templates, a lab test search that adds new tests, and a referral doctor type-ahead.
New
- Close Chamber — From Practice Schedule, or the doctor app, a doctor closes one or more dates of a session. A preview lists the affected bookings with their serials; on confirm each booking moves to the next free date of the same chamber, skipping leave, closed and full days, and every patient gets one SMS and an app notification. A closed date is refused by every booking path and hidden from availability until the doctor reopens it.
- Sliders — Admin > Frontend > Sliders manages up to ten slides each for the homepage hero, the patient dashboard banner and the doctor dashboard. A slide has a heading, text, link, theme and optional image, can be reordered or switched off, and each slider advances on click only or every 3 to 15 seconds. The doctor dashboard keeps the Next Patient card as its first slide, and the apps read the same slides.
- Connect YouTube — Admin > Frontend > Connect YouTube adds videos by pasting a link or importing a playlist with a YouTube API key, which is stored encrypted and never shown again. Videos can be edited, reordered and switched off, and a master switch shows a Watch Our Videos section on the home page with the channel link. The apps read the same list.
- Tutorial Popups — The Your Health and How It Works panels on the home page get a Tutorial button that plays a YouTube video in a popup, once the two links are set in Site Content > Home.
- District Filter — Admin > Doctors filters by district, including doctors whose chambers were saved before districts existed, and the filter survives search and paging.
- Admin Chamber Picker — Creating or editing a doctor as an admin uses the same District > Upazila chamber picker as registration. Chambers saved the old way stay listed and can be removed.
- Google Maps Link — Every chamber can carry a Google Maps link, set from registration, the doctor profile or the admin forms, and shown as Open in Google Maps wherever patients see the chamber address.
- Doctor Search in English — Names stay in Bengali, but typing the name in English (babu, sharif, sarkar) finds the doctor on the search page, in the autocomplete and in the patient app. Each doctor form has a Name in English (for search) field that is filled automatically and kept in step with the name. Run doctors:english-names --force once after deploying to fill it for existing doctors.
- English Page Addresses — Doctor page addresses are English words and hyphens even for Bengali names, and an address follows the name when it changes unless an admin customised it. Old addresses keep redirecting. Run doctors:fix-slugs --force once after deploying to rename existing addresses; both commands only preview without --force.
- Chamber Phone — Doctors and admins set a chamber or secretary phone on the doctor profile. It is the only number patients see: on the public profile, in the patient panel, on prescriptions and invoices and in the apps.
- Start a Chat — The doctor inbox search finds any of the doctor's own patients by name or mobile, so a chat can be started with someone who has not written first. Broadcast now sits in the Inbox header. The doctor app does the same.
- Walk-in Patient Auto-Link — In the prescription editor, the full mobile number of a patient who is not on the doctor's list yet fills in their name, address, age and sex and adds them to the doctor's patient list on the spot, so the patient list, profile pages, inbox and assistants see them at once.
- Advice Templates — The Advice box in the prescription editor has a Template menu: use a template, which is added under whatever is already written, save the current advice as a template, or manage templates. Admins keep a set of default templates offered to every doctor under Others > Advice Templates, and a doctor can only edit or delete their own.
- Lab Test Search — The Ix picker searches as the doctor types, with tests whose name starts with the text first, and offers Add as new test for one that is not in the list, instead of loading the whole list of tests at once.
- Referral Doctor Search — The referral field is a type-ahead over the doctors on MediKing and the referring doctor's own saved outside doctors. An outside doctor typed once is remembered for next time, and their name is printed on the prescription.
- C/C Quick Add — A doctor adds a missing C/C term from the prescription picker and it is suggested from then on.
- Mobile App API — New endpoints for the apps: chamber closures (list, calendar, preview, close and reopen), inbox patient search and start chat, homepage and dashboard slides, and videos.
Improved
- Doctor Panel Colours — The doctor and assistant panels use the MediKing teal throughout, and the patient list pop-ups follow the dashboard cards.
- Assistant Booking — Assistants book on the same New Appointment design as the doctor panel: choose a chamber, pick a session and look the patient up by mobile.
- Patient Doctor Details — The doctor details page in the patient panel is redesigned, with the chamber phone and a map link per chamber.
- Public Header — Register as Doctor is teal and Login is orange, the logo no longer collapses when the menu is tight, and the menu opens as a drawer below 1200px.
- Booking QR Card — The downloadable QR card follows the new design, with the MK badge in the centre of the code.
- Prescription Editor — A patient from anywhere on MediKing is found by their full mobile number, age and sex come from the patient profile, and Detailed findings sits at the end of the Examination & Notes card, after Drug History.
- Doctor Cards — Public doctor cards show an Open in Google Maps link for the chamber.
- Image Uploads — An image bigger than the server accepts gets a message naming the image and the real limit instead of "image 1 failed to upload", and the limit is raised to 8 MB on hosts that honour per-directory PHP settings.
Fixed
- The district dropdown on doctor registration no longer shows "No results found".
- Patients and the public never see a doctor's personal mobile, email, wallet or balance, on the web or through the API.
- Doctors can only update or delete their own leave, and the leave check counts only the doctor's own bookings.
- The prescription editor's patient context is limited to the doctor's own patients, and an assistant's mobile look-up stays inside the practice.
- Walk-in prescriptions no longer create a duplicate patient when the mobile number is typed with spaces or a country code.
- The Privacy Policy, Terms and Doctor Privacy pages read the address, website and phone from Site Content instead of hard-coded text.
- Dropdowns on the Book Appointment form are no longer shorter than the inputs beside them.
- The C/C picker lists each term once, in alphabetical order; the repeats left by re-running the seeder are deactivated and the seeder no longer appends the list again.
